The Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX S System classifies suspended cells or smaller particles such as bacteria according to their size and granulation as they pass through the flow channel at a certain speed. It also allows the analysis of samples labeled with multiple fluorescent dyes. Flow cytometry allows the characteristics of cells and particles in liquid to be examined. Data obtained as structures in the liquid pass in front of the light beam are presented graphically, allowing the user to comment on the sample.
The innovative Wavelength Multiplexing (WDM) module offers excellent usability and performance with high efficiency and low noise detectors. The system has four lasers (405, 488, 561 and 638 nm) and thirteen filters. The optional plate loader module is available for more efficient applications. The innovative laser system minimizes light loss, increasing sensitivity and ensuring optimum excitation and emission. The easy-to-use software interface allows easy detection of even low-density populations in the sample.
Technical Specifications
– The device has four lasers: violet (405 nm), blue (488 nm), yellow (561 nm) and red (638 nm) and can analyze various fluorochromes (e.g. FITC, PI, Cy5, Alexa Flour, PC5) in 13 different fluorescence channels with these lasers.
– The plate loading module allows analysis of multiple samples simultaneously and the single-tube reading feature enables analysis of large amounts of samples.
– Superior sensitivity: Effective separation capability suitable for size and granulation.
– Versatile Installation: Additional lasers and fluorescence dyes can be added to the system when necessary.
– Low-Cost Maintenance: Routine maintenance can be performed by the user thanks to the self-cleaning feature of the device and deviations in the device can be corrected by the user with the defined QC solution.
